Sat on a chair or flat on the floor,
My body is still but inside I’m not sure.
Something within, spirit, soul, light, hormones,
Detaches and moves, untethered from bones.
Once I was heavy and fell through the floor,
My body was in class, but my head wasn’t sure.
The thing within sank into the ground,
I could have kept sinking and never be found.
Once we were close, entangled on the floor,
I love you so much, and of that I am sure.
Whatever within me felt no longer mine,
I just let go and share it, for a time.
Sometimes i sit in a meeting of friends,
And I’m just a piece of the silence.
That thing within me flows gently out,
It connects with others, creates a calm sense.
